Wismer Clydes is a family owned and operated farm located in Amherstburg, Ontario Canada, about 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.

In 1979 we purchased our first broodmare from the estate sale of the late Alvin Taylor. Over the years we have strived to purchase the best quality mares and stallions we could afford to improve and build our herd to what it is today. Through selective breeding with superior genetics we have produced some champion horses over the past 25 years.

Our herd presently consists of 14 registered animals including about 6 broodmares. We compete at 5-6 major shows a year including the USA National Show with our show string of both halter horses and hitch mares. Our present senior stallion SBH Phoenix has been National Champion in both Canada and the USA . His offspring are now making their mark and winning championships on both sides of the border. You will find the bloodlines of many great halter and hitch horse champions in our present herd. We strive to produce a quality horse that can perform at the top end of both halter and hitch competitions.
